Women's Tennis Bounces Back With Win in SC

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- Less than 24 hours after having their eight-game win streak snapped by No. 27 Washington-St. Louis, the University of Texas at Tyler women’s tennis team bounced back by beating Dickinson, 9-0.

Senior Nicole Barrett (Allen, Texas) won her 10th consecutive match on Monday by blanking Maya Ginsburg in the No. 4 spot, 6-0, 6-0. In the past six days, Barrett has gone 5-0 in singles play and 4-1 in doubles matches. Barrett’s 10-game streak is the longest on the team.

The win improves the Patriots’ record to 9-2 on the year, while Dickinson falls to 2-1.

UT Tyler will return to action at home on March 22 at the Summers Tennis Center when they take on Rhodes.
