TYLER - The UT Tyler women took a school-record 57 shots as they cruised to a lopsided 10-0 win over Ozarks on Thursday afternoon at the Citizens 1st-Bank Perkins Soccer Complex.
The Patriots improve to 9-1 in the American Southwest conference with the win - their eighth consecutive victory.
UT Tyler scored its first goal just 24-seconds into the game as Lauren Thomas streaked by the Ozarks' defense and found the back of the net.
Kendall Kramer assisted Ashley Crawford on the Patriots' next goal at 2:53 and Analiz Medina scored back-to-back goals at 11:45 and 18:27.
Shelby McDonough scored off an assist from Emily Bechdol in the 45th minute for the first goal of her collegiate career, giving the Patriots a 5-0 lead at the half.
Brenda Salinas, Bechdol, Claire Manning, McDonough and Courtney Crowson all scored in the second half.
The UT Tyler defense didn't allow a single shot from Ozarks.
The Patriots will host UT Dallas at 2 p.m. Saturday and this year's seniors will be honored before the game.
