RECAP: @UTTylerWGolf in third at DII tournament

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Katelyn Hicken and Stephanie Tutt are both in the top-10 and the UT Tyler women’s golf team is currently third of seven after two rounds of the Henderson State Fall Invitational on Monday at the Hot Springs Country Club.

The Patriots shot a 327-314 – 641 during Monday’s 36 holes in the tournament against a field of NCAA Division II programs. Harding leads going into Tuesday’s final round with a 313-321 – 634 on Monday while Henderson State shot a 323-315 – 638 for second. Southern Arkansas (657), Arkansas-Monticello (657), Texas A&M-Commerce (668) and Northwestern Oklahoma (685) round out the field in the final fall event for the Patriots.

Hicken leads the Patriots and is tied for third after shooting a 77-79 – 156 during the 36 holes on Monday, while Tutt is seventh overall with an 84-74 – 158 score card. Taylor Denton is 11th with an 81-80 – 161 followed by Hannah Washburn (169, 26th) and Macy Williams (175, T33).

Brooklyn Terry leads the tournament with a 75-78 – 153 for Harding, while Helle Leed shot a 154 and is two strokes ahead of Hicken going into Tuesday’s final round.
