RECAP: @UTTylerWGolf finishes seventh in Florida

SANDESTIN, Fla. – The UT Tyler women’s golf team finished seventh overall with Katelyn Hicken leading the team with a 16th-place finish at the Golfweek Fall Invitational on Tuesday at the Baytown Golf Club.

Hicken carded a 77 to complete her three-round total of 235 for the Patriots, while Taylor Denton also shot a 77 on Tuesday and finished 21st overall with a 237 54-hole total. UT Tyler senior Amy Cox was just a stroke back on her final 18 with a 78 to finish 23rd with a 240 total. Hannah Washburn and Stephanie Tutt both shot 81s on Tuesday to complete the tournament.

UT Tyler finished seventh with a 959-team total, while Washington University won the tournament with a 912 and Huntingdon took second with a 945. Mary Hardin-Baylor finished third in the tournament with 950 team total.

UT Tyler will complete its fall schedule next week at the Henderson State Fall Invitational on Oct. 23-24 at the Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
