Sloane Named 2014-15 WGCA All-American Scholar

TYLER -- UT Tyler Women's Golf student-athlete Jordan Sloane has been named a Women's Golf Coaches Assocation All-American Scholar, the organization announced this month.

Sloane, a senior from Cypress, helped lead the Patriots to a fourth-place finish at the 2015 NCAA Div. III National Championship tournament, while finishing with a 78.14 scoring average which was second on the team.

Sloane played in 11 tournaments in her final season with the Patriots, winning one, and tallying eight top-10 finishes on the year.  

The senior garnered Second Team All-American honors, All-West Region honors and was First Team All-ASC in 2015.

The WGCA All-American Scholars were announced July 6 with a total of 758 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this presitigious honor.  The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, with the minimum GPA at 3.50.
