Patriots End Day Two of Golfweek Invite in 4th

SANDESTIN, Fla. -- The No. 5 ranked UT Tyler women's golf team currently sits in fourth-place at the prestigious Golfweek NCAA DIII Fall Preview after the second day of tournament action.  Laura Lindsey continues her strong play, currently two-strokes behind in fifth-place.

Lindsey fired a 73 on day two, three-strokes better than round one and is currently just two strokes off the tournament lead.

Jordan Sloane is currently in 15th-place after shooting 76 on day two, while sister Taylor is in a tie for 27th-place after firing a 77 on the second day of action.

Freshman Morgan Loth had a big swing on the second day, firing a 79 in the second round, seven strokes better than her previous day's score.

Marina Rhodes finished the day in a tie for 69th, finishing with an 87 on the second 18 holes.

No. 1 ranked Methodist still leads the tournament with a combined 600 through two rounds, while Washington University-St. Louis sits in second with a 608.

Trinity-Tx sits in third-place with a combined 622, 12 strokes off the lead while Rhodes College sits in fifth with a combined 629, four strokes behind the fourth-place Patriots.

Play will conclude in Sandestin on Tuesday.
