CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- The National Golf Coaches Association has announced that UT Tyler women's golfer has been named to the 2012 Division III All-America team as an honorable mention selection.
Weddle, a senior from Midland, Texas, was also named to the All-West Region First Team. She was selected as an at-large participant in this year's NCAA Championships where she finished tied for 28th place overall.
Weddle was recognized at the the NGCA Division III Awards Banquet held in Angola, Ind., during the national championships.
The National Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The NGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the NGCA represents nearly 500 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
