TYLER, Texas - UT Tyler is one of only two NCAA Division III schools in the nation with both its golf teams ranked in the top 10, according to the latest GolfStat.com national rankings.

The UT Tyler men are ranked 8th in the nation in the latest round of rankings, coming in with a 247-13 record against Division III opponents and and adjusted scoring average of 74.51.  The Patriots are 4-4 vs. Top 25 teams.

The men are coming off a third place finish at the UT Tyler Fall Invitational.  They also finish fifth at the prestigious GolfWeek Invitational in September. 

The Patriots' women come in at 10th place with a 137-8 record against DIII competition and an 83.05 scoring average.  The women have one victory over a Top 25 team.

The UT Tyler women finished first at the UT Dallas Comet Invitational and came in second in at the UT Tyler Fall Invitational.

The only other school with two teams in the top 10 is Methodist, the defending national champion for both the men and women.
