The UT Tyler women's golf team shot a 626, capturing its second ASC championship in program history, edging out three-time defending champ Mary Hardin-Baylor by two strokes. The Patriots last ASC-championship came in 2009.
Despite high winds and near winter conditions, the UT Tyler women's golf team shot a 317 first round score to take a seven-stroke lead after the first day of competition at the 2014 ASC Golf Championship at the Squaw Valley Golf Course.
The UT Tyler women's golf team improved its play on day two of the West Region Invitational, finishing as runners-up at the eight-team tournament. Laura Lindsey finished in sixth-place, leading the Patriots to the second-place finish.
