PREVIEW: #UTTylerXC to run at University of Dallas Invite

TYLER – The UT Tyler cross country program will be sending 13 runners to compete at the University of Dallas Cross Country Invitational on Saturday in Irving.

The race will be on the UD campus with the runners navigating a 5K course starting with the men’s race at 9 a.m. and then the women at 10 a.m. UT Tyler’s women’s team will be represented on Saturday by Lauren Halliday, Kelli Kissinger, Stephanie Pierce, Courtney Smith and Rachel Willis. The men competing are Parker Cota, Matt Donahue, Dylan Stegall, Daniel Juren, Conor Linekin, Jackson Waschek, Justin Tokuz and Andrew Hernandez. UT Tyler’s team traveling to run at the University of Dallas is only a partial team with most runners staying back in East Texas to continue training for conference and regional races.

The Patriots will be running against Austin College, Wiley, LeTourneau, East Texas Baptist, UT Dallas, Hardin-Simmons, McMurry, Schreiner, Paul Quinn, Brooklyn College and Texas Wesleyan.

This will be UT Tyler’s final regular-season event with the American Southwest Conference Championship next on the schedule on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Austin.
