Ro Nets One More ASC Honor

Patriots point guard Ratonya Hunter ended her career as UT Tyler’s all-time leader in assists and steals, and Monday she added one more honor to her resume. Hunter was named the ASC East Division player of the week for the final week of the 2006-2007 regular season.

Hunter (SR/Athens, TX) closed out her career with a pair of amazing games against Louisiana College and Mississippi College. Hunter had the first ever points-steals double-double for UT Tyler, with eleven points and a team record ten steals. She also had eight assists in the game and six rebounds.

Against Mississippi College, in her final game at the Herrington Patriot Center, Hunter played all forty minutes and finished with sixteen points, nine steals, and eight assists. In her seventy-one minutes of court time, she finished with sixteen assists measured against only three turnovers.

This is Hunter’s second award of the season.
