UT Tyler to host five straight days of basketball

TYLER – The Herrington Patriot Center will host five straight days of basketball action starting on Saturday when the UT Tyler Patriots host Mary Hardin-Baylor in a pair of American Southwest Conference games. The UT Tyler basketball teams are collaborating with the UT Tyler Police Department to help donate toys the Children's Advocacy Center of Smith County with the police department conducting an ongoing campaign and the basketball program having a collection drive on Saturday with free admission to their games. A collection bin will be in the HPC lobby and one toy will get you into both games.

The basketball calendar also includes the men's team playing Colorado College at 1 p.m. on Sunday in a non-conference game followed by the men's and women's team hosting Concordia in a pair of ASC games on Tuesday at the HPC. The women's team will then play Whitworth on Wednesday, Dec. 20 in a non-conference game before returning from a holiday break by hosting Jarvis Christian at 2 p.m. on New Year's Eve. 

Additionally, Howard Payne and Whitworth will play a women's neutral-court contest on Monday, Dec. 18 at the HPC.
