SHREVEPORT
– The UT Tyler women’s basketball team out-rebounded Centenary, 61-36, to win their
second game in a row on Saturday with an 81-71 victory at the Gold Dome in
non-conference women’s basketball action.
The
Patriots, who led by as many as 20 in the second half, shot 44-percent for the
game while limiting Centenary to just 31-percent.
The
win improves UT Tyler to 11-12 on the season.
UT
Tyler opened up the afternoon with back-to-back three-pointers to keep
Centenary from gaining any composure.
The
Patriots went on an 8-0 run over the Ladies from 15:24 to 11:59 in the first
half and jumped out to a 41-26 margin at the break.
The women return to the Herrington Patriot Center this week for their final two games of the regular season, hosting UT Dallas on Thursday and Ozarks on Saturday.
