TYLER – The UT Tyler volleyball team cruised to its 11th sweep of the season on Saturday with a quick 25-8, 25-15, 25-10 American Southwest Conference win over Louisiana College where the Patriots had 13 services aces at the Herrington Patriot Center.

The Patriots (15-4, 8-2 ASC) earned their second straight conference sweep after rolling to a three-set win over Belhaven on Friday night. UT Tyler is now 6-2 on its home court and will host LeTourneau on Wednesday to complete a four-match home stand. The Wildcats fell to 0-15 overall and to 0-10 in ASC play in their first season of play as a program.

Brianna Bellehumeur recorded her eighth double-double of the season by leading the Patriots with 11 kills and adding 10 digs against the Wildcats. Bellehumeur, who leads the team with 176 kills in her freshman season, hit .346 on Saturday for the Patriots who finished with a .357 attacking percentage as a team against LC. Kaitlyn Budisalovich added nine kills (.500) and seven digs in the win, while Haley Nemitz had six kills on only eight attempts.

Makenna Bartlett led the defense with 16 digs in the match and now has a team-leading 291 digs from the libero position through 19 matches. Bartlett, a sophomore from Round Rock, is averaging 4.34 digs per set after having 5.1 on Saturday. Madison Denning added six digs and led the Patriots with 18 assists while Reighanna Guzman contributed 11 assists. Denning led the Patriots with four aces, while Guzman and Bellehumeur each had two.

UT Tyler and LeTourneau will play at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the second meeting between the two teams. The Patriots earned a sweep over the YellowJackets on Sept. 13 in Longview and will be looking for their four three-plus win streak of the season.
