TYLER – Brianna Bellehumeur had 18 digs and 12 kills to help lead the UT Tyler volleyball team to an impressive American Southwest Conference sweep of Belhaven on Friday at the Herrington Patriot Center.

The Patriots (14-4, 7-2 ASC) earned the 25-14, 25-21, 25-10 win to respond to a five-set loss to the Blazers (11-8, 6-3 ASC) in their first meeting and are now 5-2 on their home court going into a 2 p.m. match against Louisiana College on Saturday.

“I felt like we played with a lot of energy and executed well as a team, especially in set three,” UT Tyler head coach Lyndsay Mashe said. “Even in moments we were down, we handled the pressure well.”

Bellehumeur, a freshman from Frisco, recorded her seventh double-double of the season and now has a team leading 165 kills and has 223 digs on the season.
