PRIOR TO UT TYLER: Established St. Anthony Catholic program records with 101 hits, 75 RBI, 76 runs scored and a .454 career batting average.... Was a two-time All-State selection and three-time NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete... Also earned all-district honors in basketball in high school and was ranked 21st in Texas with 103 3-pointers... Played for head softball coach Paul Greco and hit .407 as a senior and also was a star pitcher. 

FRESHMAN (2017): Leal had a 6-2 record with 19 appearances in her first season with the Patriots… Had a 2.73 ERA in 51 1/3 innings pitched with 29 strikeouts and an opponent batting average of .260… Leal tied the single season record for games finished by a pitcher with 14… Season was highlighted by her 7 IP, 3-hit, 6 strikeout, and zero earned runs performance in a win over Louisiana College.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Maria and Enrique Leal. Has one sibling, Christian Leal.

CAREER ASPIRATION: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
