CC Named Sportsmanship Team of the Year
by Jeff Williford

RICHARDSON -- The UT Tyler men's cross country team has been named a winner of the American Southwest Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Team Sportsmanship Award for the Fall.  This is the second time in three years the Patriots have won the award.

The award, in its sixth academic year, honors the member institution in each ASC championship sport that best displays positive qualities of sportsmanship and fair play from its student-athletes, coaches and fans throughout the season. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committees (SAACs) from the conference’s 14 member institutions vote on the recipients.

This season, the men won their seventh ASC-championship, also boasting the individual conference-champion, Nick Huff, the ASC Newcomer of the Year Jason Hamilton, and ASC Coach of the Year Bob Hepler.
