RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler men's golfer John Dukes has been named the American Southwest Conference Golfer of the Week for the third time this Fall, after finishing first at the Alamo Classic this past Sunday and Monday.
Dukes fired a 7-under-par 71-66—137 to win the individual title and guide the
Patriots to a 23-stroke team crown at the Alamo City Classic at River Crossing.
Dukes’ final-round 66 was the lowest of the tournament
and also a career best. His card was three strokes better than individual
runner-up and teammate Joey Rippel (71-69). Dukes has now been named the
conference’s golfer of the week three times this fall – all in consecutive
tournaments.
