TYLER -- UT Tyler women's golfer Jordan Sloane has been named the American Southwest Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Sloane fired
a 76-75—151 for a top-20 individual finish at the Birmingham Southern
Shootout at par-70 Highland Park Golf Course in Birmingham, Ala.
Sloane
also helped the Patriots finish as the seventh-place NCAA Division III
team in the field of 22 squads and 124 golfers.
The women's team will be back in action on October 22 at the Alamo Classic in Bulverde, Texas.
