SCHEDULE CHANGE: @Patriot_sb, CTX series moved to Sunday/Monday

Wednesday, February 21, 2018

TYLER – The No. 3-ranked UT Tyler softball team’s home-opening series against Concordia has been pushed back to Sunday and Monday due to rain throughout this week and forecasts calling for a continuation of bad weather throughout the weekend.

The Patriots (5-0) and Tornados (4-3) will now open the series at 6 p.m. on Sunday before playing a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Monday at Suddenlink Field. UT Tyler opened its 2018 season last week by sweeping Southwestern in a two-game series last Wednesday before taking three games against McMurry in Abilene over the weekend. The Tornados were swept by Trinity and split with Schreiner in non-conference play before sweeping Hardin-Simmons last weekend to open ASC play.

UT Tyler is coming off a season where it went 21-1 on its home field and then won the NCAA Division III Tyler Regional and NCAA DIII Tyler Super Regional to advance to Oklahoma City for its third straight trip to the NCAA DIII Championships.
