The Patriots (15-7, 8-7 ASC) will now host UT Dallas at 4 p.m. on Saturday in their regular-season home finale where the team will honor the senior class of Josh Tatum, Skyler Hadden, Chase Mason and Melvin Anthony prior to the start of the game. On their home court this season, the senior have led the team to an 8-2 home record coming into the game against the Comets.

Ozarks fell to 3-19 overall with the loss and are 1-14 in conference play.

Moore led the Patriots by going 6-for-10 on 3-pointers off the bench, while Skyler Hadden added 16 points and had seven rebounds and four assists in the win. Emeka Obukwelu and Johnell Lane each had 15 points and Tatum would finish with a team-high eight rebounds to go along with six points and six assists.

Tatum, who extended his single-season record which is now at 132 assists this year, broke the UT Tyler record of 207 by Larry Ware from 2006-09 for the Patriots. Tatum is also the program’s leader with 4.2 assists per game since he transferred in from Weatherford College. For the season, Tatum is now averaging 10.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game and leads the Patriots with the 132 assists and 38 steals.

Lane scored his 15 points after knocking down three 3-pointers, while Coltin Wimbish and Jamal Green-Gaskin also hit 3-pointers for the Patriots. UT Tyler finished the game shooting 36-for-72 from the field, including an 11-for-28 (39.3 percent) showing from distance. Defensively, the Patriots held the Eagles to 4-for-23 on 3-pointers and to 37.1 percent shooting overall.

Since that game, UTD has won six straight going into a Thursday night game against Ozarks.
