TYLER -- After seven years with The University of Texas at Tyler, Jameson Adams, the Associate Director of the Herrington Patriot Center and Athletic Operations has resigned to become the Associate AD of Operations at St. Edwards University in Austin.

From 2008 to 2014, Adams was the Coordinator of Athletic Marketing and Promotions with UT Tyler.  During his time in that role, Adams created and maintained the Patriot Nation student loyalty rewards program that grew to more than 1,100 members. He was also the Marketing Director for the 2014 NCAA Division III National Softball Championship hosted by UT-Tyler.

"It was a hard decision leaving UT Tyler, an institution that truly cares for their employees, fans and student-athletes", said Adams.  "My time here has been full of great memories and his given me invaluable experience that I can take with me."

"No employee has meant more to improving student life over the last seven years than Jameson. He has turned Intramurals into a top notch program and has made going to Athletics events fun and exciting. He has created a lasting foundation", said Bob Hepler, Director of the HPC.

"Jameson has done an outstanding job enhancing the fan and student athlete experience for the last few years at UT Tyler.  He's worked hard to bring in corporate sponsors and worked equally hard to make sure that game day operations run smoothly", said Howard Patterson, Vice President of Student Affairs.

Patterson continued, "We wish him nothing but the best at St. Edwards."

Adams will take his experience to NCAA Div. II St. Edwards University in Austin, where he will serve as the Associate Athletic Director of Operations.  His duties will include facility and event management, game operations, marketing and promotions, and corporate sponsorships.
