    The UT Tyler men's basketball team completed a two-game road trip to start the season with a pair of wins after earning an 86-68 non-conference win over Southwestern on Saturday with Emeka Obukwelu recording a double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Patriots at the Robertson Center.

    Fagundes, Hadlich rise in ITA national rankings

    UT Tyler's Arthur Fagundes is ranked No. 11 and Vinicio Hadlich is No. 38 in the ITA Division III Men's National Singles rankings. In doubles play, Fagundes and Jose McIntyre are No. 13, while Daniel Rodriguez and Gabriel Hidalgo come in at No. 22 after a strong performance in the ITAs during the fall.

    UT Tyler senior Leandro Cid-Fernandez was named the American Southwest Conference’s Midfielder of the Year for the third straight season and the coaches selected John McGuffin as the ASC Goalkeeper of the Year to highlight Patriot honors on the all-conference teams that were posted on Tuesday.

    AWARDS: Seven @soccerpatriots earn ASC honors

    The UT Tyler women's soccer team received seven selections on the American Southwest Conference All-ASC teams, highlighted by senior defender Caroline Williams and senior goalkeeper Emily Hurley who were named to the first-team for the Patriots. Additionally, Caitlyn Mortus and Kathleen Johnson were named to the All-ASC second team, while Landri Edwards, Alexandria Clowers and Kaelyn Steitz are All-ASC third-team performers. UT Tyler finished the season with an 11-5-1 record and having outscored its opponents by a 29-15 margin throughout the season.

    UT Tyler senior Brieanne Brown has been named to the American Southwest Conference All-Conference team and Lyndsay Mashe, Kris Mashe and Mallory Sanders earned ASC East Division Coaching Staff of the Year to highlight conference awards that were announced on Wednesday ahead of the start of the ASC tournament. Additionally, Blair Dressendorfer was named the ASC East Division Co-Newcomer of the Year, Brown and Brianna Bellehumeur earned ASC East Division First-Team, Samantha Lee, Makenna Bartlett and Reighanna Guzman were ASC East Second-Team and Kaitlyn Budisalovich and Haley Nemitz were honorable mention selections.
