    The Tufts Jumbos became just the third school in NCAA Div. III history to win back-to-back softball National Championships, defeating Salisbury 6-0 in the final game of the 2014 National Championship series.

    Salisbury and Tufts Split Games, Force Deciding Game Three

    The 2014 NCAA Div. III softball season will come to to a final deciding game, as Salisbury and Tufts split the first two games of the championship series on Monday, with the Sea Gulls winning 2-1 in game one and Tufts winning 6-0 in game two.

    Championship Final Moved to 11 a.m. Due to Threat of Rain

    The NCAA Div. III Softball Championship series between Salisbury and Tufts has been pushed back two hours to 11 a.m. due to the threat of inclement weather in the Tyler area on Monday. The second game will begin at approximately 1:30 p.m.

    The Tufts Jumbos punched their ticket to their second-straight championship game appearance, defeating UW-Whitewater 8-0 in the second semifinal on Sunday. The Jumbos will look to become just the third program to win back-to-back titles.

    Kim Dorsey delivered a clutch game-winning hit in the top of the ninth inning, while Molly Simpson made several huge defensive plays, leading Salisbury to a 3-2 victory over St. Thomas to clinch a spot in Monday's National Championship.
