Phillips Named Men's Tennis All-American
The University of Texas at Tyler’s Dustin Phillips was named an All-American by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the organization announced this week.

The senior, a native of Houston, finished this season with a 25-5 record in singles and a 23-6 record in doubles play.  In his career at UT Tyler, Phillips was 45-10 in singles and 41-11 in doubles.

In May, Phillips was named the national winner of the ITA’s Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship. The Ashe Award is considered the most prestigious award in college tennis.

During his career at UT Tyler, Phillips was a two-time All-American Southwest Conference selection, a two-time All-ASC East selection and a two-time invitee to the NCAA Division III National Individual Championships as both a singles and doubles player.
