@patriotstennis earns ITA All-Academic Team honors

TYLER – The UT Tyler women’s and men’s tennis programs have been honored as Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Teams and fourteen student-athletes earned ITA Scholar Athlete for the Patriots.

The ITA All-Academic Team award requires each program to have a cumulative team grade point average at 3.20 or above with all letter winners being factored into the GPA. Individually, the ITA Scholar-Athletes must have a 3.50 GPA or above for the current academic year.

The UT Tyler men’s tennis team had nine selections in Cameron McCarthy, Pablo Gomez, Arthur Fagundes, Marco Griener, Gabriel Hidalgo, Daniel Rodriguez, Cade Navarro, Vinicio Hadlich, Andres Perez and the women’s team has five with Alexis Arrieta, Katherine Brown, Emily Danielson, Lauren Kuhn and Alexandra McKissick.

The UT Tyler men won their fourth straight American Southwest Conference championship in 2017 and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 10th straight season. Fagundes, Gomez, McCarthy, Kuhn and McKissick have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete two straight seasons for the Patriots.
