    AWARD: Hill named to prestigious All-Nicklaus Team

    UT Tyler senior Sam Hill has been named one of 24 honorees throughout all division of collegiate golf for the 2018 All-Nicklaus Team presented by Barbasol as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Players from Divisions I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA were recognized for their outstanding play during the 2017-18 collegiate season. Hill, who is the first player in UT Tyler history to earn the honor, is one of only three NCAA DIII players to earn a spot on the team.

    AWARDS: Hill, Uhlig, Perkins earn PING All-America honors

    Sam Hill, Tyler Uhlig and Trystan Perkins have earned NCAA Division III PING All-America honors after strong seasons for the UT Tyler men’s golf team which finished third at the NCAA Championships and won the American Southwest Conference Championship.

    CHAMPIONS TERRITORY: 2017-18 Year-In-Review

    An NCAA national baseball championship, 11 All-America selections, three regional team titles, eight NCAA tournament appearances, 11 American Southwest Conference championships and an .803 winning percentage on campus are just a few of the UT Tyler highlights from the 2017-18 athletic seasons. An athletic program with 17 sports, the Patriots combined to boast a 198-66-1 overall record in team sports and also won five golf tournaments, three cross country meets and one track & field team title at the ASC meet. At home, UT Tyler teams were 86-21-1 and also hosted two cross country meets, two golf tournaments and two track & field meets.

    RECAP: Perkins in fourth after two rounds; @UTTylerMensGolf fifth at NCAA tournament

    UT Tyler sophomore Trystan Perkins shot a 3-under-par 69, while Sam Hill and Tyler Uhlig shot 70s for the Patriots who are fifth at the NCAA Division III Championships with a scorecard of 296-287 – 583 (7-over) after Wednesday’s round at the Grandover Resort. The tournament resumes on Thursday with the third round before the final round on Friday to crown the NCAA DIII national champion.

    AWARDS: Uhlig, Hill earn All-America Scholar honors

    UT Tyler's Sam Hill and Tyler Uhlig have earned Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for Division III from the Golf Coaches Association of America. To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically and compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke average under 79.0 in Division III and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
