UT Tyler men's golfers Chapman Herwood and Buddy Hallman have been named Golf Coaches' Association of America Ping All-Americans. The duo helped the Patriots reach the NCAA Div. III National Championship tournament last month.
After a long week filled with weather delays and early starts, the UT Tyler men's golf team finished in a tie for 13th place at the 2014 NCAA Div. III Men's Golf Championship. Buddy Hallman finished in a tie for ninth, shooting a combined 294.
After two rounds at the 2014 NCAA Div. III Championship, the UT Tyler men's golf team finds itself in third place, just eight strokes off the lead with two rounds to play. The Patriots shot a combined 295 for the day, led by Dayton Cargill's 70.
Buddy Hallman, Chapman Herwood and Dayton Cargill all took home top honors from the Golf Coaches' Association of America on Tuesday. Herwood was named All-West Region and Academic All-American in his first year with the Patriots.
