After a weekend sweep, The University of Texas at Tyler Cross Country teams have also swept the weekly American Southwest Conference cross country runner of the week awards. The Patriots men's and women's teams both took first place at the University of Dallas Invitational on Saturday.
Patriots runner Chauncey Deller (JR/Longview, TX) highlighted the Patriots' fourth team title of 2006 with a time of 27:40 on the 8K course. Deller, who is UT Tyler's fourth different winner of the conference's top weekly running award, finished fourth place individually.
Charity Bolling (SR/Stephenville, TX) led the women's squad to their first team title of the season with a near school-record time of 25:35 in the 6K. Bolling finished in fourth place individually.
The Patriots will race this weekend at Mississippi College, their final tune-up before the ASC Championships October 28th at UT Tyler.
