    PREVIEW: @UTTylerMBB ready for 3-game home stand

    The UT Tyler men's basketball team will host three games in four days starting at 4 p.m. on Saturday when the Patriots welcome Mary Hardin-Baylor to the Herrington Patriot Center for an American Southwest Conference contest before they play Colorado College on Sunday and Concordia on Tuesday. All fans who bring a toy to donate to the UT Tyler Police Department’s Toy & Supply drive on Saturday will get free admission and the donations will go to The Children’s Advocacy Center of Smith County.

    The Herrington Patriot Center will host five straight days of basketball action starting on Saturday when the UT Tyler Patriots host Mary Hardin-Baylor in a pair of American Southwest Conference games. Fans can receive free admission with a toy donation.

    RECAP: @UTTylerMBB, Obukwelu have record-setting performances in 110-99 win

    UT Tyler sophomore Emeka Obukwelu established a new single-game program record by scoring 43 points after going 20-for-22 from the field to lead the Patriots to a 110-99 non-conference win over Rhodes on Sunday at the Herrington Patriot Center. Along with Obukwelu’s scoring record, the Patriots set a team record with 39 assists led by 10 from Josh Tatum and the single-game record of 21 steals. The 110 points were the third most in program history and the team extended the program’s best start to a season with its sixth straight win.
