King Campbell
King Campbell has served as UT Tyler's assistant athletic director for business operations since 2007.
Prior to restarting his coaching career, Campbell spent 20 years with Bank
of America in Tyler as a senior vice president and private client
manager. Prior to that, he was an instructor in the business department
at San Jacinto Junior College.
Campbell holds a BBA in accounting and an MBA from Lamar,
where he also played basketball. While in graduate school at Lamar, he
coached the freshmen basketball team to the most wins in school history.
Campbell also played basketball for Stephen F. Austin State.
Serving as UT Tyler's first full-time golf coach since 2005, Campbell has guided the men's and women's teams to a combined 25 tournament wins,
including an unprecedented seven consecutive wins from the men's team
during the 2009-10 season. He's also coached 17 all-conference, 15
academic all-conference and eight PING All-Region selections during his
tenure.
