SOPHOMORE (2017): Welch followed up his Freshman year with a .345 batting average with 4 homeruns, 2 triples, and 4 doubles while only playing in 28 games in his second season with the Patriots… He had a .518 slugging percentage, stole 8 bases, and was tied with the best fielding percentage on the team (1.000)… Batted .472 with 17 hits, 11 runs scored, and 9 RBI’s during the Conference tournament to earn him the ASC Blue Bracket Tournament MVP and an ASC All-Conference Honorable Mention.

FRESHMAN (2016): Graham Welch began his UT Tyler career by establishing the program's single-season record with 10 triples and had the eighth most doubles with 15 as a freshman... He played in all 51 games and helped the Patriots to the ASC Championship and to the NCAA tournament... Welch finished the season hitting .340 with 71 total hits... He had one home run to go along with his 15 doubles and 10 triples from the left side of the plate... He finished third on the team with 36 RBI and had 21 multi-hit games and 10 multil-RBI performances... He had four-hit games against Sul Ross and LeTourneau and a season-best four RBI off three hits against Dallas.... Welch had 78 putouts in the outfield with only one error throughout the season. 

PRIOR TO UT TYLER: Arrived in Tyler after playing at Plano Senior High where he earned District 6-6A second-team honors as an outfielder during his senior season... Played for head coach Rick Robertson.

PERSONAL: Son of Jason and Cyndi Welch. Has one sister, Cora. Father, Jason, played baseball at Bowling Green University. 

MAJOR: Civil Engineering

CAREER ASPIRATION: Civil engineer that designs roads and bridges.
