RANKINGS: @UTTylerBaseball at No. 5 in two polls

TYLER – The UT Tyler baseball team remains in the top-5 of two national polls after going on the road and earning an American Southwest Conference series win over Louisiana College last weekend.

The Patriots (28-5, 16-2 ASC) is ranked No. 5 in the Collegiate Baseball and D3Baseball.com polls and remain at No. 8 in the Perfect Game rankings. UT Tyler is also atop the ASC standings with three weeks remaining in the regular season.

UT Tyler will not play this week after having its midweek game at Centenary canceled due to rain and will return to action next weekend when it hosts McMurry in a three-game series on April 21-22 in their final series at Irwin Field. The Patriots are currently 16-2 at home this season coming into the weekend where they will honor the senior class of Tim Hunter, Trenton Buchhorn, Cade Suggs, Brady McCoy, Reese Read, Hunter Palmer, Gunnar Quick, Chad Hayes, Cody Brown, Daniel Williams, Blake Brunnemann, Dalton Smith, Kyle Broussard and Cason Adams between games on Saturday, April 22.
