KILGORE – Announced on Thursday by the league office, sophomore shortstop Aaron McCain has been named one of seven East Texas Pump Jacks to make the 2010 TCL All-Star Game.

McCain, who got off to a torrid start this season, will earn the start at shortstop for the North All-Stars. The Royse City native is hitting .247 with six doubles, eight RBIs and 13 runs scored – 2nd on the team. He also carries a solid .950 fielding percentage.

The 2010 TCL All-Star Game will take place on Monday at 7:05 p.m. in Victoria, following the home run derby that is scheduled for 6 pm.

The All-Star Game will cap an exciting first half that is coming down to the wire, with three teams – including the Pump Jacks – still battling for the first-half division title. Victoria and the Bombers are tied for first, with East Texas just a game back.
