The UT Tyler baseball team celebrated Senior Day in fashion, finishing off a three-game sweep of the top-ranked team in the American Southwest Conference, Concordia. On Friday, the Patriots won 1-0, 3-2 in doubleheader action.
The UT Tyler vs. Concordia-Tx doubleheader originally scheduled for a 2 p.m. start on Friday, has been moved up to 1 p.m. Game one will be seven innings, with game three starting approximately 30 minutes after game one concludes.
Freshman hurler Gunner Baker pitched seven strong innings, allowing just one hit to the No. 20 ranked Concordia in a 4-1 win on Thursday. Baker struck out four Tornados, walked three, helping the Patriots end their seven-game losing streak.
