UT Tyler Sports Medicine

The UT Tyler athletic training staff maintains the department's two state-of-the-art training rooms in the Herrington Patriot Center and at the UT Tyler Ballpark. Staffed by two full-time athletic trainers, two graduate assistant athletic trainers, and athletic training students. It is the goal of the athletic training staff to provide the best possible care to our Patriot student-athletes.
Our athletic trainers are specifically educated in prevention of athletic injuries and to recognize, evaluate, and assess athletic injuries. Athletic trainers provide immediate care to injuries as well as provide appropriate treatment and rehabilitation to those injuries if the need arises.

UT Tyler has two fully-equipped athletic training clinics. One is located in the Herrington Patriot Center (Room 1045), and the other is located at the UT Tyler Ballpark. The athletic training facilities provide service for all fifteen sports at UT Tyler.
The facilities are staffed by full-time licensed and/or certified athletic trainers, graduate assistant and student trainers during normal operating hours at all times.
