In addition to leading the UT Tyler baseball team to their first ever NCAA Division III World Series appearance, Bishop also just graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. How he manages the demands of being a collegiate athlete and student are quite admirable.

    ALL-AMERICANS: @Patriot_sb earns five NFCA All-America honors

    UT Tyler earned a program-record five NFCA NCAA Division III All-America selections with Ashley Perez and Nicole Garcia earning first-team, Colleen Bentke and Lynsey Mitchell second-team honors and senior Andrea Gonzales being named a third-team selection for the Patriots. Perez was also named the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division III National Freshman of the Year on Wednesday at the NCAA Division III Championship banquet at the Sheraton Hotel Downtown in Oklahoma City.

    PREVIEW: @UTTylerBaseball riding momentum into Appleton

    After winning five straight elimination games and scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to advance, the UT Tyler Patriots will play in the program’s first-ever NCAA Division III Baseball Championship game at 10 a.m. on Friday against Oswego State at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wisconsin. The eight-team, double-elimination tournament includes Randolph-Macon, Misericordia, Concordia-Chicago, Swarthmore, Wooster and Texas Lutheran. The championship finals are scheduled for Tuesday, May 29 with an if-necessary game on May, 30 to determine the NCAA DIII champion.
